Tap on the Account icon on the bottom menu and then tap top right hand corner for the life ring. This will load a screen showing you your latitude/longitude co-ordinates for you to share with somebody who can come and help you.

Key things to remember:

1. If you are heading deep into areas with poor connectivity for an extended period of time take a PLB as back-up.

2. GPS positioning does not need mobile data connectivity as it is satellite data driven BUT if you have any data connectivity it will likely be more accurate as uses (Assisted) A-GPS, ie. mobile data helps pinpoint your position.

3. If you have absolutely zero data coverage you will not be able to call or text anyone with your position.

4. Texts are more lightweight to send rather than voice calls so are a good option if you have poor connectivity.

5. GPS positioning works in Aeroplane mode but remember to switch data back on to send/receive. Aeroplane mode is a good battery preserving state.

6. Use common sense, preserve battery life and if heading off the beaten track run with a small group who can help in times of trouble.
